In 2013, Mr. Kirk became principal at Black Elementary. Mr. Kirk received his bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston and his master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of St. Thomas. From 2000-2005 he was a part-time paraprofessional at Thompson and Johnson Elementary schools while attending the University of Houston as part of Aldine’s “Grow-Your-Own-Teacher” program. He began his teaching career in Aldine ISD and from 2005-2010 served as a bilingual teacher at Thompson Elementary School. From 2010-2013, Mr. Kirk was an assistant principal at Marcella Intermediate.
In 2017, Ms. Hart became an assistant principal at Black Elementary. Ms. Hart previously served as a literacy coach at Caraway Intermediate School, a skills specialist at Odom Elementary and taught at Goodman Elementary and Harris Elementary Schools. She has been an educator for 16 years and worked in Aldine ISD for the past 13 years. Ms. Hart earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Mississippi Valley State. She received her alternative certification from Augsburg University and her Master’s Degree in Administration from Prairie View A&M University
